Chasing my dream

I am going to Africa in search of something. Maybe a new start.

I dreamed of working with women and children in developing countries my entire life. I studied and earned degrees; I volunteered and interned. Life instead took me on another career path. For the past years 10 years I’ve worked as a Social Worker with refugees, and then in healthcare with chronically ill patients. It has difficult and rewarding work and I have given all I have for the time being. I am stepping back.

I decided to take a risk; put all fears aside and take a plunge with all my faith in God. There is no time like the present. I am heading to Africa with an open mind and heart and ready to learn and share what I’ve learned along the way.
