CHARTERED FINANCIAL ANALYST EXAM LEVEL 1

Hey there! Thank you for taking the time to read this. My name is Samantha Tembo. I'm requesting help in paying for the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) level 1 exam, which I hope to sit in June 2021. The CFA accreditation is one of the most prestigious professional certifications to attain for anyone working in financial services.

I am a prospective CFA student. I graduated from the university of the Witwatersrand, where I was awarded a Masters degree in Business Finance.Having completed my postgraduate degree, I am now keen to continue my studies. I would like to further become a Chartered Financial Analyst, with the ultimate intention of finishing all the 3 levels in 3 years.

My academic record is very good, and I have been lucky enough to receive excellent references from my university lecturers. I managed to complete my Masters within a year and I intend to devote myself entirely to my passing the CFA exam level 1 exam in one sitting and would eventually like to forge a career in the investment field.

Unfortunately, I cannot currently afford to pay for the exams (which is about $1500) including the study material. Despite having a job, the combined cost of the exam fees and study material expenses is simply unworkable. This fund will go a long way in enabling me to pay off the initial registration fee (US$700) and the cost of study materials (about US$800), though the deadline for the early registration is in March 2021 , and time is not far enough on my side to make and pay the total required amount. I had hoped and expected to be financially better off at this point, but hiccups along the way have worked against me.

I am therefore creating this gogetfunding account to humbly ask anyone who is willing to donate or offer any form of sponsorship to help me write my CFA level 1 exams. Earning this first certificate will be a huge booster for me career wise. As a new practitioner in the investments industry, I have to do as much as possible to make myself as valuable as possible to a company. This exam is one of the ways I proactively aim to do so.
