Charlie’s medical bill/medicine

On Friday, October 13th, our lives took an unexpected turn when I awoke to prepare for my graveyard shift and found my beloved partner, Charlie, looking at me with a helpless expression. It became evident that he was experiencing a stroke, a moment of sheer terror and helplessness.

In a desperate rush to get Charlie the care he needed, we immediately headed to the emergency room of Manila Central University Hospital. However, the situation worsened when we were informed that they did not have an available ICU room. With no other option, we spent a sleepless night at the ER, anxiously waiting for a chance to get him into intensive care.

The following morning, our prayers were answered when we were transferred to ACE Medical Center. Big thanks to our guardian angel, my OB, MD Marianne Alonzo.

Charlie is currently in the intensive care unit, but the road to recovery remains uncertain. His initial diagnosis is Polycythemia Vera, a condition where his blood had become excessively thick, ultimately leading to the stroke. At present, he is unable to fully move (right side of his body) or speak, making this a challenging and uncertain journey.

As a working mother with a three-year-old son, this ordeal has put an immense emotional and financial burden on our family. We were unprepared for such a crisis and, sadly, in a brink of depleting our savings to provide the necessary care for Charlie. It is with a heavy heart that I am reaching out to you, dear friends and family, for your support in this difficult time. We humbly ask for financial aid to cover Charlie's hospital costs, medications, and the therapy he will require in the future.

Your generosity in this time of need would mean the world to us. Any amount, no matter how small, will help alleviate the financial strain and allow us to focus on Charlie's recovery.
