Charlies Cuddle cot campaign

Update posted by clive key On Nov 28, 2015

We are looking for fundraisers to help us in our quest to buy a cuddle cot, it can be anything from fun runs to where a silly hat to work day, we need your help, losing a baby is the most devastating single thing that can happen to you, it not only robs you of your child it steals your future, on the 29th of December Charlie would have been 3 and each year gets harder because he would have been in full Christmas mode by now with gifts he would have made at nursery, wanting to meet Santa, so as the years roll by it doesn't get any easier, we have many regrets and 1 is the lack of time we had with charlie, we wished we could have had more, and a extra 72 hours it would have meant the world to us as a family, i guess every one of us deals with losing Charlie in our own way but we are all united in the fact that we miss him, wished we could have seen him grow up but mostly wish we could have had time to make more memories so please consider fundraising for us or even donating £1 as this Christmas we want to give 1 bereaved family the chance to make there own memories

thank you Clive x

slowly but surely we are reaching are target but we still need you help, we appreciate all your support and help in raising the funds we need to buy a cuddle cot, giving the gift of time to a bereaved family is a very special gift to give, by just donating 1 you are helping, here's a little bit about cuddle cots and what there do

What is a Cuddle Cot ?

A Cuddle Cot is a cooling system that has been designed to fit within a small cot. This effective system allows for babies who have passed way to remain with their families so that they are not required to be cooled in a mortuary environment. Cuddle Cots enable family members to travel to visit and meet the baby, siblings to meet one another, It?s about giving parents choices, and reassuring them that they can spend as much time as they like with their baby, without the fear of the baby needing to be cooled in a traditional

One the things that Charlie's mummy wants to do is to help other bereaved parents and by donating a cuddle cot to the bereavement suite at our local hospital is a great way of helping give the gift of time to others, learning that with this piece of equipment it can give an extra 72 hours with your baby we really wish we were given the opportunity to spend extra time with charlie, if you can spare just 1 then you to are helping give the gift of time

We are currently raising money to purchase our first Cuddle Cot for LGI in leeds. This cot helps parents spend more time with their babies. Essentially, it is a cooling blanket that can go into a moses basket and helps keep parents and baby together in the room.for up to an extra 2 days, We know how important that time in the hospital has been for our grieving process and it feels right to try to give the gift of time to parents who might have to face a similar tragedy. by donating just 1 you to are giving the gift of time to a bereaved family x

We have learned a lot about infant loss and stillbirth since losing Charlie. With this we learned about Cuddle Cots. A Cuddle Cot is a wonderful piece of medical equipment ( it's a cooling system) that is put into a moses basket and can give grieving parents more time to spend with their baby's. Unfortunately, very few hospitals have this to offer parents. In fact,. We would have been so grateful to have had this and been able to spend more precious time with Charlie. This is why, we would like to purchase a cuddle cot and moses basket to donate to the rosemary suite at the Leeds general infirmary in Charlie's memory, so other grieving parents can have the gift of time with their baby's. We want to help other grieving parents and no they can spend a little extra time with the baby, we know the pain that they are feeling.

For more information on Cuddle Cots, please click the link below and and watch the video. They are very expensive and that is why we need your help to raise the money. Any donation you make is so greatly appreciated!
