Charlie’s Back Surgery

Hi,

My name is Charlie and I am a Dachshund. I love to play ball, sleep and eat. I live with my parents and my little human sister. She loves me a lot and takes care of me, but to be honest she can be annoying some times :)

Last week I went to visit the Vet as I had a bad back. He said it should get better in a week but to come back if it does not. He sent me away with some pain killers which I did not like the taste of, but they did help a little but I was still in pain, mind you I still managed to run around and play ball.

But on Sunday I woke up and I was in so much pain, I cried and cried. My parents rushed me to the vets and he said I needed surgery. So we drove as quick as we could to Bristol, the place they train vets. The man there said I needed surgery on my back to repair a slipped disc. Its so painful but they gave me something to help make me feel a little better.

I had my surgery Sunday afternoon, but I dont yet have my back legs working. They told me it could take weeks, I hope they do work again, I want to be able to chase the ball, play with my human sister and run to bark at the postman.

I dont know how long I will be in hospital, but I know its going to cost a lot of money to get me better. I want to try to raise some money for my parents to pay the vet bill as they take good care of me and I love them. I would be very thankful to anyone who can help.
