Charlie’s New Hips!!

Charlie is our beautiful 10 month old cocker spaniel puppy. He has been diagnosed with quite a severe degree of bilateral hip dysplasia, a malformation of the hip joints which gradually deteriorates leading to loss of function of the hip joints. This badly affects him after he has been for his walks, and he is in quite a significant amount of pain with it. We are hoping to raise £7,000 by January 2016 in order to help pay for a life changing full hip replacement for Charlie, when he is 18 months old. The vet has said that this will be the gold standard op for Charlie's hip dysplasia, and is likely to cost around £7,000 to do each side. Although there is an alternative operation available to him which is much cheaper, it wouldn't give him the benefits and quality of life that a full hip replacement would. He is currently having weekly hydrotherapy sessions and is on rimadyl pain relief and joint supplements until January 2016 when he will be old enough to have his ops. We appreciate that this is a very large amount of money, but would be so greatful for every single penny donated.
