The Charles Mwense Foundation (CMF) is a not for profit organisation that operates in Zambia (Africa) founded by British citizen Mala Mwense in loving memory of his late father.

The organisation focuses on empowering orphans and widows through various projects in the Zambian Community.

The organisation has a scholarship program for orphan and vulnerable children’s education which entails paying for the children’s school fees as education is NOT free in Zambia as well as paying for children’s uniforms and transportation to and from school. CMF works in partnership with registered schools in Zambia alongside the Ministry Of Education and Irish Catholic Church.

CMF is also partners in their projects with UK registered charity LifeAid.

As well as education CMF also has a project called #Need2Feed which is their feeding program that has served close to 5000 meals over a 2 year period. The feeding takes place at their partner schools as well as in the surrounding ghetto communities where families live and somehow manage to just about eat on as little as £1 per day for a family of 3-5 persons.

As well as Need2Feed and the Andy Hodges Scholarship CMF also has a project called Grow2Grow that they have recently launched for Changa Changa primary school in Mazabuka that entails planting a garden for the school to grow maize, tomatoes onions and potatoes to go towards the schools meals for the orphan and vulnerable children that attend the school on an empty stomach.

As well as the mentioned programs CMF is also launching a project called Power Of A Woman to empower widows and single mothers who are market traders and street vendors by giving them small interest free loans and a business mentor over a 6 month period to help them grow their trade and business and support their children more confortably.

CMF is a small start up not for profit so encounters many difficulties in terms of funding so the purpose of this page is to help fundraise so they can execute their projects more efficiently and touch more lives with their out reach projects

All donors will be mentioned and thanked in CMFs monthly newsletter as well as on the organisations Facebook page and other social media platforms.

All donors that request a reward below will also receive various reports and updates regularly once they submit their email address.

CMF is a growing yet powerful organisation in the Zambian community ran by British citizens that requires your help to exist and to do their works in Africa so please take a moment to check our links and other sites and please support us with a donation from as little as £1 that will help the organisation immensely.
