Thank You for taking a moment to stop in on this page and see what "Beards Of Glory" is all about.

Beards Of Glory is a non-profit concept that I have developed to give added support to various charity's and those in need of medical financial assistance. I'm approaching this concept a bit differently than most charity's out there today. The Beards Of Glory charity will put the decision making process for which charity's / causes to donate to back in the hands of the donors. Meaning, if you donate you get a say in what charity / cause receives the main allocation of funds via a voting scale. The charity that receives the most votes at the end of our collection period will be chosen, and the process is reset for the next collection period.

The Beards of Glory charity will retain a small percentage of the whole donations to provide relief to those in need of medical financial assistance. The allocation of these funds will be based on a written submission from an individual seeking relief. Once all written requests are submitted by whatever deadline we determine a recipient will be chosen based on the written requests.

We have various ideas in the works for creating a fun and healthy interaction between Beards Of Glory and our donors. Some of these ideas include: fun runs, Golf tournaments, musical concerts, geo-chaching, etc...

This is where you come in... We need your help to get things rolling with setting up our non-profit. We estimate that it will take approximately $1,500 to get the non-profit registered as a 501(c)3 charity. This of course involves all processing fees, lawyer costs, and paperwork that needs to be filed. Any amount that we have left over will be used to register, and setup the website for the charity.

As stated above, we plan to support a variety of research causes. Below is a preliminary list of causes that we hope to be of benifit to. Once we get our website up and developed there will be a section where contributors can recommend the addition of a new or left out cause.

Why we need your help:

We think the statistics speak clearly as to why this is such an important endeavor. Based on the numbers above there is clearly still a need for added research. In order to create more research opportunities there has to be greater contribution efforts. We intend to become a vehicle for those contribution efforts, and we need your help to get there.
