Our charity event is for two young girls from greenock, Megan McGarva and Holly Watt, who require stair lifts for their homes. Megan McGarva is 8 years old and has the genetic disorder CDKL5. She has intractable epilepsy, hypertonia, scoliosis, global developmental delay and is registered blind. Megan is also non-verbal and is unable to walk or sit. Holly Watt is 6 years old has spastic quadriplegia cerebral palsy with secondary sever dystonia, involuntary movement and hypertonia which effects all four limbs. Holly is also non-verbal and non-mobile. Form the above you can see what a massive difference these stair lifts will make to these young girls, their family and people who care for them. To date just under £4k has been raised against a target of £20k. There is still a long way to go. Each year our circle of friends organises a fundraising evening in aid of a selected charity or cause. We raise money through ticket sales, an auction and a raffle. All of the prizes and auction items are donations from friends, family and colleagues. We have been asked by several people this year that they would like to donate money, hence the page.
