Hard working everyday "Joes," Single mothers, single fathers, elderly people living on social security, people recovering from injuries, and people with disabilities all have something in common, they need to have transportation. When this transportation fails they cannot get to work, the doctors office, their childrens school, and so on. Having a vehicle "break down" is an inconvenience that almost every driver has experienced.
Before my decision to further my education, my career was in automotive repair. I have always performed repairs on family and friends vehicles free from labor charges. As long as they could afford the parts, I would do the repairs. as time goes on, I find myself with more and more people that are asking for me to repair their cars and trucks. it is no secret that mechanic shops charge outrageous fees, even for some repairs that can be done effortlessly in a matter of minutes. there are many people in this world today that cannot get to work. They cannot make the money they need to support their families and pay their bills. This is because they cannot afford to pay auto shops to fix their vehicle. My goal is to continue what I have already been doing for years, but in a much larger capacity. I will work with local towing companies, and until I get enough funding to rent a shop, I will continue to work out of my home. I am calling it "The Charity Mech," and it will run entirely on donations. The only requirement for this service will be proof of income or unemployment. This will help reduce the number of peple that try to abuse this service.
Use of Donations
The donations will be used to cover any further purchase of tools, future locations, and to pay any present and/or future employees, so that I can keep from charging labor fees. If we can work together and make this happen, we can help change the world.
