Chardy’s education assistance

My daughter worked hard during high school and maintained a 3.6 GPA with all AP class enrollment. Her dream was to attend Howard University and become an entertainment attorney. She applied and was accepted to Fisk University, Henderson State University, Spelman College, Wiley College, Xavier University, and yes, Howard University. We applied for HUNDEREDS of scholarships; however, she did not get any. She did get financial aid funding. I found there wasn't much assistance for going to college OUT of state. My out of pocket cost per semester is EXHORBITANT! I'm actively looking for a part-time job to supplement my full-time salary and she's awaiting work study application decisions. On 8.13.2014, we drove 20 hours to DC and I left my baby there to embark on the next chapter of her life. The drive home...all alone...on 8.16.2014 was the LONELIEST, most emotional drive I've ever made. I am doing everything I can to keep my baby at Howard. I feel if I get her through this first year, she'll be able to take advantage of within school scholarships, internships, and more apt to get work study. I've read so many stories of others reaching out and been moved by the generosity shown, so I'm taking a chance on my daughter's education. I appreciate any donations you're willing to give.
