Campaign Story
Identity Management Ghana is a social and economic impact organization that drives innovation to cause change, creating jobs, empowering people through entrepreneurship and capacity building. The organization in collaboration with Okyereko Rice Farmers Co-operative and Chiefs and Elders of the Okyereko is cultivating rice for the local market and to create direct job opportunities for the people of Okyereko in the Central Region. Okyereko is rice farming community on the Gomoa road, Central Region.
Currently the Okyereko Rice Farmers Co-operative has a membership 133 farmers, both males and females with a total land size of 80 acre. The project will begin with a 50 acre land and increase after the first crop year.
The community has an Irrigation dam (Water Pump House) which was rehabilitated by Identity Management Ghana, a storage facility, Rice mailing machine, and Office space for administrative duties,
Identity Management Ghana (IDG) has a 15years Memorandum of Understanding with the Okyereko Rice Farmers Co-operative to manage their farms. The organization has a team of four dedicated employees, an Agronomist, a Farm Manager, an Operation Manager and a Managing Director.

The primary objective of the Okyereko Rice Project is to help empower the people of Okyereko economically.
The project seeks create direct jobs for the youth of the Okyereko.
To provide financial support for some community developmental projects
To create business activity in the community.
