Changing lives thrift store charity

We are working on starting a thrift store that will change the lives of everyone in the community. The plan is designed to help out everyone in the community and help change lives as well as create jobs. I am starting a thrift store that will receive donations from the town that it is located in. We will send out letters everyday to specific streets asking for donations of items they no longer use or want. We then go to that street for the day and pickup the items and they receive a tax credit for the items they donated.  The next day we move on to another street until we have gone around the whole town and then start again. People can also request pickups and they can drop off donations to the store as well. 

How the donations will be used?

Once we receive the donations we clean them, price them and stock them in the store. When the items sell the money goes back to the community at the end of each month. People will come to the store and fill out request for charity and at the end of the month people from the community that need it the most will receive the money or help they need. At the end of each month we will hold an event where we will announce the winners of charity and how the charity will be used to help them out. Not only will we announce the winners this will kick start the funding for the next month as we will raffle off some of the donations we recieved which the money will go for the next month winners. People in the community will see how their contributions are changing the lives of the needy and homeless and will want to continue to give. In return for receiving help the winners of that month will be given the oppurtunity to give back by volunteering to help others that were in their shoes. 

Here's an example of how it will work. A customer walks into the store they fill out a form of how and why they need help. Say for example their home is going to be foreclosed on and need $5,000 to pay there mortgage, we then make that payment for them so they don't lose their home. In exchange they agree to come help out at the store where they will help either pick up donations, help advertise, organize fundraisers etc. Say we raise $60,000 from sales and donations we then set aside a percentage to go towards people in that community that need the help whether they need help for medical expenses, their home is about to be foreclosed on because there husband lost his job etc. All donations will go towrds helping the needy within that community. 

We will also have a free section of the thrift store that will contain toiletry items such as toothpaste bodywash, deoderant etc. where people will be allowed to take on free item a day.

Different ways to receive donations:

We will raise money a few different ways. We will receive donations by collecting items that we will then sell at the thrift store, we will have a website that will collect donations as well as advertising revenue that we collect from the site will go towards the charity, we will hold monthly events where we will have food entertainment raffles and all proceeds from that will go towards the charity as well, we will make youtube videos where we show the winners of the charity and how it has made an impact on their lives and all earnings from that will go towards the charity as well. 

We plan to grow this charity nationwide. We plan to start off with one store and see how it goes and if successful as we project it to be we will then grow they charity to every state within the USA.  Please if you have ever needed or received help you know how much it has helped you and know how much a little help goes a long way. I believe everyone needs help at some point in their lives, some more than others. I wouldn't be the person I am today or wouldn't be in the position I am if I hadn't received help and support from others. This is my way of giving back to the community.  I strongly believe this will work and it will gain recognition and bring communities even closer together.
