I am starting a mobile cheerleading company, Champions Cheerleading Academy, in September of 2015. This has been my goal for over 11 years and has been on the backburner due to college, Army, grad school, getting married, having two kids (about to have number 2) and starting a new teaching career. I cheered for seven years, including one year of all-stars and 2 years at the university level (Charleston Southern University and Liberty University, where I received my Bachelor's and Master's). I have taught cheer and dance for two companies, one of them being a mobile dance company in Florida. This was my main inspiration for beginning this company. Since I plan on continuing to teach kindergarten full-time as I start up this business, I plan on hiring at least two instructors to teach the cheerleading classes while I work/run the business. My initial costs are as follows: approximately $500 for 3 cheerleading mats and 2 cartwheel mats, approximately $300 for 20 pairs of pom poms and approximately $1,200 for 20 uniforms ($60 per youth uniform). The academy classes will be held at preschools/daycares in Chesapeake, VA and will be for children ages 3-5. I am very excited about this company possibly coming to life after so many years of putting it aside. I would appreciate any help! Thank you in advance for helping me to start this passion of mine!
