Chaela Goes To School 2022

Hi, Chaela Dupuch here. I graduated from ninth grade at Deep Creek Middle School (DCMS) in Eleuthera, Bahamas in June 2021. At DCMS, we are given the opportunity to apply to boarding schools and sit the PSATs. I scored 1803 on the PSATs and was accepted to school in Portland, Oregon.

As of the new school year 2021/2022, I now attend Oregon Episcopal School in Portland, Oregon - thanks to your GENEROUS donations!!

Attending school so far away from home has had many challenges. But, we managed to conquer them all.

In January 2022, the time came up for financial aid applications and I was awarded the same approximate 92% off the tuition. A tuition payment plan is in place but, the insurance is due in one payment.

(My intention was and still is to create a fund that can help others who want to go to boarding school as well. This past year has been filled with so many firsts that work on that has been slow.)

I HAVE THE FUNDRAISING AMOUNT NEEDED AS $5,000, BUT THAT IS BECAUSE $2,015 WAS RAISED LAST YEAR. I AM HOPING TO RAISE $3,000 THIS YEAR. CHANGING THE AMOUNT HELPS ME KEEP TRACK.

The general breakdown of what is needed is as follows:

- Off-Campus Arrangements for Thanksgiving Break - $500

-Insurance - $2,500
