Campaign Story
Thanks for taking a look.
As most people know I was diagnosed with diabetes about 9 years ago. I have now been diagnosed with Brittle diabetes ("Brittle" diabetes, also known as unstable diabetes or labile diabetes, is a term that was traditionally used to describe the dramatic and recurrent swings in glucose levels, often occurring for no apparent reason in insulin-dependent diabetes. Type 1 diabetes can be accompanied by irregular and unpredictable hyperglycemia, frequently with ketosis, and sometimes with serious hypoglycemia. Other complications include an impaired counter-regulatory response to hypoglycemia, infection, gastroparesis , and endocrinopathies) and it is out of control.
I am trying to raise money for a continuous blood glucose monitor (CGM) to help with my diabetic care.
My life could actually turn around by having the CGM. Unfortunately they will not cover the cost of the CGM to make sure that my sugars aren't going to high or to low through out the day.
This would be a one time cost through Dexcom to get the initial monitor and 3 months worth of sensors that i need.
If anyone could help by donating even a $1 or even sharing this on your Facebook timeline or on Twitter it would be greatly appreciated.
Again, thanks for reading and may God bless you and yours.
