Certificate of Exemption for Roxi

Hi, I am trying to raise funds to prevent our lovely dog Roxi being destroyed, Roxi is a 3 year old Pit bull terrier cross and was originally rescued by a family member but unfortunately they couldn't keep her as they already had dogs and sadly attacked Roxi as they didn't except her into their pack, we offered to look after Roxi temporarily until they found her a new home. Roxi had settled in really well with myself, my husband Gary and our 2 daughters Shannon and Kayla, we all fell in love with her.

Roxi hasn't had the best start in life, before being rescued she had been mistreated and neglected by her owner, but after everything she has been through Roxi is intelligent, funny and a very loving dog,

After being with us for only a few Roxi seemed settled and content, she had become part of our family like she had always been there, we decided we would like to keep her, we had looked at her microchip details online which said her breed was a staffy cross, but we then had a unexpected visit from the police saying they had been informed that we had a pit bull type dog so wanted to see Roxi, she was then assessed at home by a police dog handler who after carrying out his assessment informed us that she was a pit bull terrier type which is a known banned breed, he said that Roxi was in good condition and did not appear to be or show any aggressive behaviour and was satisfied that she could remain in the family home .As long as I was happy to abide by the legislation in forced under the dangerous dog act .therefore I was given a timescale to adhere to the requirements, my family is willing to abide by this but the main requirements need to be paid for are vet checks and health report, third party liability insurance and the certificate of exemption itself, but due to financial difficulties and timescale involved we are unable to cover the cost so I'm becoming increasingly distressed that Roxi will be destroyed for no reason other than finances. Therefore myself and my family and Roxi would be extremely grateful for any amount of assistance any fellow people could kindly donate Roxie's life genuinely hangs in the balance .kind regards Roxie's family x
