Cerebral Palsy Space CEPAS) is a community Based organisation whose operations are in Dandora in Nairobi.

Vision: To witness inclusiveness of the children with cerebral palsy and their caregivers in the society.

Mission: To promote respect and recognition of the children with cerebral palsy and caregivers, protection of their rights as well as inclusion in key policy decision making.

Programs under CEPAS are:

2. Daycare centre fo children afflicted by cerebral palsy( CP), where children are taken care of in general care services( feeding, play, learning, diaper change and social interactions.

We usually hire a car daily to pick children from their homes to the centre and back everyday. Most of these kids are very heavy and big for parents to commute with them in public means. We do this to also realease the caregiver so that they can go fend for the kids.

A van is a viable asset to is because it will be used when we have emergencies esp when a child convulses and need quick medical intervention.

2. CEPAS has a feeding program to families of these children. We are needed to carry food stuff from donors and distribute to homes of the vulnerable snd needy families in the slums.

3. Sustainability project:

At CEPAS, we have tailoring project, the members of the community, mostly youths, come for training in design and tailoring. Our basic products are school uniforms and matress covers. This helps to pay our basic bills incurred at the centre.

4. Creating awareness:

It is our key duty to create awareness and sensitize about cerebral palsy, and incorporate the society in participating in promotion of dignity and embrace children with cerebral palsy and their caregivers.

5. Diaper drive:

Most Children with cerebral palsy are not able to express thei need for toileting due to effects of cp and morbidity. CEPAS campaign for diaper donations for these children monthly.

6. Assitive devices distribution

In partnership with otherorganizations and donors, we are able to get wheelchairs and other devices for cerebral palsied children. These ensure that their dignity and freedom is promoted, they are kept functional and socially incorporated. A van at the centre will help in distribution and donation of these devices by creating easy access to every child wherever they are for either assessment and/or fitting of these devices.
