Help poor children in Brazil to get a better life!

Hey everyone!

We are the Centro Cultural Escrava Anastácia, a non-profit-organization in the beautiful city Florianópolis. Our founding concept is based on a concept that will allow people from poor neighborhoods of Florianópolis a better life with less violence and more happiness.

Our activities inspire and make a change. We are a collective of professionals with expertise and volunteers that make today unique and incredible. Young people, families and companies are all together dreaming about a better tomorrow and with our help they get a chance for realizing their dreams.

You don´t have to change the whole world, but if you change something, it is the perfect start for a better world. We provide five different projects for changing the lives of our youth:

1. Procurando Caminho (Finding a path)

Rescue and strengthen the ties of the families, the social environment and school for young adults from impoverished communities.

2. Rito do Passagem (Ritual of transition)

We prepare the young adults for the next steps in their life. Leading them to a world of work, higher education and social life!

3. Programa Jovem Aprendiz (Young apprentice program)

The program offers training in social, political and professional education. It also includes follow-ups and orientation during and after hiring.

4. Casa de Acolhimento Darcy Vitória de Brito (Children´s Home Darcy Vitória de Brito)

It welcomes and guarantees full protection of children and adolescents. Therefore, we reestablish family and social bonds.

5. Grupo da Terceira Idade Rosário de Luz (Golden age group Rosário de Luz)

Group meetings of women in the best age to receive the culture and memories of the community.
