Celebration for Michael

We are creating this project to help us celebrate our son Michael and his wonderful accomplishments. 

For the last 3 years in high school, he has been bullied and harrassed for his Marching Band class.  They have been ruthless for years under this year, when during his summer break they hacked his facebook and began sending horrible and graphic messages.  The last one was a death threat.  Our son decided he had a enough and was going to fight back.

With the help of his girlfriend Abbie, they spent most of their summer break gathering all the physical evidence to present to the school and the district.  We all met with the officials where he presented 74 pieces of evidence against the marching band class and Teacher.  The school authorities were shocked and impressed with his presentation.  They immediate acted on his evidence.  The teacher has been discplined and monitored, the students involved have also been discplined, an anti-bullying lesson has been delivered to the students, new rules have been established within the Marching Band group and activities, and bring awareness to the other students and faculty of the bullying activity.

We are SO proud of our son.  He dealt with this horrible situation with maturity and professionalism.  We have instilled in Michael a strong sense of self-worth and morales and so pleased he stood up for himself.  The changes he help institute within the school is helping students now and in the future. 

The purpose of this project is to help give our son a trip to Disneyland.  He has really earned it and deserves to celebrate his efforts.
