Campaign Story
Cecil Lion King - Help Other Cats Live Longer Healthier Lives
Authorities allege that Cecil, one of only 30,000 lions left in the whole of Africa, (Cecil was part of an Oxford University research project and wore a GPS collar) was killed illegally in Zimbabwe. Apparently a ranger illegally lured Cecil out of the legal safety of the National Park with food, where he was shot with a crossbow, chased for 40 more hours, then finished off with a gun, said Johnny Rodrigues, head of the Zimbabwe Conservation Task Force.
The man who killed Cecil, Dr Walter Palmer, of Minnesota, who apparently doesn't understand what a Hippocratic oath is, enjoys killing animals for no other reason than their heads cover a bit of wall space; apparently he's already paid a fine for lying about the location of a bear that he previously killed.
Therefore if Dr Walter Palmer can afford the $55,000 fee/bribe that was allegedly paid, perhaps he would like to make a sizable donation to this fund which is aimed at providing protection, conservation, medical care, food, shelter and benevolence to all cats large and small in the future, so that the memory of Cecil The Lion King may not be forgotten and may not have been in vain.
Please donate now, even $1 will help.
