My Mom, Cecilia "Gaying" Santos Enriquez was diagnosed with Meckel’s Diverticulum. On the late night of the 16th day of April she was rushed to the ER due to stomach ache, was given medicine and was advised to go home after. On the 17th she was rushed again because of the severe pain and was sent home after she felt better due to the first aid treatment she had. April 23rd, she came back to the CGH (Chinese General Hospital) for a follow up check up since her bowel movements was irregular and was unable to eat because she felt weak. April 24th she was tested for a CT Scan and found out that there is something blocking her intestine that should be surgically removed.

After the operation she is now under recovery, with her potassium, decreasing, she was injected with medicine for 4 times a day. She is also in dextrose for nutrients to prevent her for being weak and costs Php 6000 per bag.

She was also admitted in the private room since the charity rooms are not available due to the virus outbreak.

The reason for this campaign is to raise the lack of financial support in order to pay the medical bills as my father who is a driver is not able to work due to the virus, my brother is still on job training. I am also in maternity leave and was extended due to the ECQ and works in a “no work, no pay” company.

Since the start of the ECQ, we haven’t save nor gain any money and our savings were used for the stocks during the quarantine. We haven’t received any cash assistance from the government as well.

With this, I am knocking on your kind hearts to ask for your help on our, especially my mother’s journey to recovery especially during this times of outbreak. Any amount will help a lot and would be much appreciated. Thank you!
