As most of you may know, I have been struggling with a bad hip for quite sometime now. I have been living in an extreme amount of pain, caused by hip dysplasia with advanced avascular necrosis. In other words, the cartilage in my right hip joint has broken down and is bone-on-bone, also no more blood flow in the bone. Over the past few months it has gotten worse and I have been walking with crutches for over 3 months now.

A total hip replacement of my right hip is the only possible treatment as confirmed by my GP and Orthopedic Surgeon. I have saved some money but I am not close to the amount required for the surgery.

I am loosing my ability to walk and it is affecting my ability to work. With my hip only getting worse, the 2-3 year waiting list for hip replacements provided by public health is unacceptable. If I can pay the prostheses myself I could get the surgery much sooner, in late August or early September 2017.

All donations will go directly to medical expenses related to my hip replacement surgery. That includes pre-operational procedures, the prostheses, the surgery itself, and postoperative requirements, including physical therapy.
