It’s a fund-raising initiative to help pay for the high cost of emergency medical expenses to save the life of our mother Yolanda Atanacio who underwent surgery for diverticulitis, requiring a 28-day hospitalization during the COVID-19 pandemic. Like most Filipinos, my mother has no medical insurance coverage.
The family has no savings and the working members have little or no stable income since the lock down. Before the patient could be discharged from the hospital, the family was required to pay the hospital bills and the amount that they were unable to pay was guaranteed by a check post-dated 31 August 2020 which has no funding support. The family incurred personal loans, maxed out their credit card limit (for which they will pay a high monthly interest, and find he cash to cover the post-dated check. In the meantime, they also need to sustain their mother’s costly medications and regular post-surgery check-ups and special food supplements.
God Bless You a Hundred-fold💓🙏
