My name is Catherine Bran-Morales I am a recent graduate from Johnson and Wales University with a degree in Business Administration and concentration in International Relations. My dream was always to help others, while studying at Johnson and Wales I began a 2 year journey and research project on how to alleviate poverty through social entrepreneurship among women in under developed countries. My country of choice was Guatemala as I began to do research I realized how poverty is different in other countries and then began my love of empowerment for women. Poverty has risen in the last couple of years to one billion people living in unlivable conditions and out of the 1 billion people 1/3 of the people were women.Poverty may not affect us all, but we all have to work together as a society to find solutions to these problems. Poverty may not affect us all, but we all have to work together as a society to find solutions to these problems. This is the reason I want to travel to Guatemala and volunteer in a project called Connecting Worlds in Latin America which has volunteers empower women and children to continue to get educated and give them the tools and motivation they need to rise against poverty the program is a 3 week program based in Antigua Guatemala. 270 USD is the Registration Fee and There is also a 3 week fee of 520 Usd Volunteer Fee Plus Flights of 190 since i live in Miami its very inexpensive to fly there. Please help me volunteer in Guatemala and change the world one step at a time!
