We met in 2016 and we are a couple with Adam since than.
For 12 years, Ádám was working as a chef in various restaurant, including one of the high-quality restaurants in Buda Castle. I graduated like a dental hygienist.
We were together barely half a year when we started our own small business. Without any money we opened a little catering in the countryside. We transformed a little old shop into a kitchen with the help of relatives and friends. it was a DIY happening :-) We are over some difficult years. We successfully launched the business and received more and more orders year after year. The local people really like us and our cooking.
In the last years, we haven’t had vacation time. Our longest rest was maybe 3 days. We have been working 6-7 days a week since 2017 for a dream and a real future life together.
Whati is our dream?
a small country restaurant, where we welcome all incoming guests in a family environment, in a pleasant atmosphere…where we can make everything from smaller birthday party, through baptisms to the big day of the bride and groom. At the moment there is a little pub in Kakucs that is not really suitable to make a community. We want to open a place that is also a great meeting place for young people, but anyone would love to spend an intimate dinner.
We consider it important for the future that we can provide employment opportunities for thelocal peoples.
Last year came a huge opportunity. Our dear acquaintance bought an old abandoned property that used to be a pizzeria and approached us with the idea of renting it out to us after renovation.
It was wonderful news! Everything went well, renovations began, and then came March of 2020.
The virus situation brought new difficulties that we did not expect. We found ourselves in a difficult financial situation, missed corporate orders, events and weddings. The owner was also in a more difficult situation, so we had to wait longer for the renovations.
The current situation is in November of 2020 that the kitchen will be handed over slowly, so we can continue our work in the new place, but the part of the restaurant is not finished yet. Of course, we are no longer impatient, as we are 3-4 months behind due to the pandemic. We still have a lot to buy for the full kitchen and restaurant equipment.
In the current situation, we couldn’t put enough money aside to be able to move to the new location and expand our small team. We want to ask for your help for the second stage towards our dream from anyone who thinks they are happy to support us on this path.
