Hello who ever might be even interested in reading this story.
My son was born with ADHD and big speaking problems. It is something we can live with and it is manageable for me as an adult. But my son has his own troubles and I can only imagine how hard it is for him to sit down with me, read and learn all he has to for school ect. And going to sleep is another story. It took a long time and lots of testing to find what calms him down so he can sleep in peace. We found out that it is the cat's purring that does the job when we adopted a longhaired street mix kitten
My son found his cat soul mate and he called her Princess. She did act like it too She was longhaired street mix, probably with Norwegian forest cat, and my son loved to sleep with her as her hairs tickled him and she purred in his ear. She always took his pillow. They went to bed together and they woke up together. She followed him everywhere and he loved the cuddles. It is nearly a year when suddenly she got sick and even though i fought to make her better she passed away Later I found out that this type of street mix tends to have a lot of health issues that can not be treated.
We all miss her dearly, especially my son who lost his best friend
We have tried everything we could to find another way to sooth him but nothing is really working.
Because my son wants her back, I did look around and found cat like her. It is a pure Norwegian forest cat with papers and pure parents and all that.... You know....
To explain why I'm looking into pure breed is that pure cat should not have those untreatable health issues. I would not be able to stand my son loosing another friend. Watching him miss her breaks my heart. The only thing that makes me thrown is the price. With all the bills parents can imagine for living and two kids under 10 years old. Normal office job that just covers it all there is not much room to wiggle around, paying over 400 dollars for a cat is quite a lot. But I love my son and I would love to make him happy.
If anyone would be interested in helping a little bit I would appreciate it.
