Story-line

High school graduate is pushed into life. Finding a job and accommodation are two priorities. There are lots of jobs in newspapers but visiting a company in person is going to give a better first impression. It’s not that easy you still need to pass the interview and struggle to keep your job from the competition!

Education is an option to get a better-paid job, and here we come to a necessary evil called loans! Use them wisely to make more money not to make more bills!

Nobody got rich working even two jobs so players need to follow the changeable market for Stocks, Businesses, Real-estate and Rent and consider making money by doing what needs to be done at the right moment!

This would be just another finance board game without taking care of your health, happiness and that’s going to be a quest of itself! On the way, players will meet their soulmate and start a family of which they need to care and make them satisfied by providing everything a family needs, car, apartment, house and beyond!

Your Cash Quest Starts Here and Now!

Getting familiar with the game-play and rules

2-6 players age 10+ use 4 dices, to move on the board which has 52 fields. Each field has some opportunities shown in the magnifying glass and health and happiness rick indicated with the blue and orange dice on the field.

There are four dices, two green (wealth-moving on the board), one orange (health-resistance) and one blue (happiness-resistance). Players throw all 4 dices together at once. Two green dices representing wealth are uses to move on the board. If a player chooses to work two jobs then they use only one green dice. Players move forward the number of fields they scored on green dices, they can also move backward to catch some missed opportunities. In this case, they can move backward the number of fields they scored on green dices or less then that if they like. The orange dice represents the resistance toward the health rick of the field and the blue dice represents the same for the happiness. If those dices score is lower than the field rick players will lose levels of their health and happiness. They can regain their health and happiness on certain fields. Having a high level of health and happiness will bring some benefits to the players including salary bonuses. Having a low level of health and happiness will bring certain troubles to players including shrink and medical bills. There are 7 health and happiness levels to manage on the player sheet.

Players can use their health (orange) or happiness (blue) dice or even both of them together with the green wealth dices to move on the board. Before they throw the dices, they need to point out their intention to the other players, otherwise, they can’t combine dices after throwing them. Using happiness and health dices for moving on the board has certain consequences, they are going to lose levels of their happiness and health.

Players have a variate of 5 car categories with different pros and cons to move on the board faster or have other benefits, don’t forget your car maintenance bill.

There are 3 piles of newspaper cards. Players can buy one newspaper card before or after each turn. They pay for the newspaper card by reading the quote on the card on loud to other players.

There are 32 job cards with different job opportunities divided into 4 levels of education. Players can educate themselves on the college field. All players start as high school graduates and can educate themselves to be BA, MA or PhD graduates, which will provide more job opportunities and a higher salary. To finance their education or other needs players have a variety of loan options. Student loans, mortgage loans, car loan or consumer loans are available with different conditions and interests.

32 business magazine cards provide 8 stock market companies for different purchase abilities for the players to trade. The market level of stocks, businesses, real estate, and rent are represented on the board each having 5 different levels and they are managed with 24 market fluctuation cards with 48 reasons for the economy to rise or collapse depending on the player dice roll.

Property Economics cards offer 15 businesses for the players to buy, develop and manage and 17 real estates to trade or rent.

Besides taking care of their wealth, health and happiness players need to take care of a family too. It all starts with a special place to meet love, players will go through dating, engagement, marriage and at last care of children.

How to manage all of this? Easy, besides taking care of their wealth, health and happiness on the player sheet, players will manage their income putting a close look at passive income. Expenses like life expenses, accommodation, car maintenance and variety of loans need to be managed, don't forget dating bills, children or in worst case scenario shrink and medical bills! Players will take care of their assets dividing them into two groups, those which make money and those which make bills.

Players who bankrupt have lost their chance of winning the game in that round but not a chance to learn. They can become player sheet accountants for other players to practice the game by having a better insight on how other players manage their cash flow.

The first player who is able to pay all expenses from passive income without having any debt is a winner. Players can set other goals for each round of Cash Quest, let's see who is going to be the first one to become a millionaire!
