Casa da Ortigueira

The project "Casa da Ortigueira", born in the year 2012 for the realization of a forestry activities for the production of wood chips, together with fruit and vegetable products including blueberries, pears, apples, horticultural products in general etc., as well as farm activity combined with that of a cultural association dedicated to the dissemination of concepts of self-sustainability, ecology and human well-being. The business will be based in the town of O Incio (Lugo - Spain), in the Galicia region on a total area of about 12500 sqm. The activity is based on the production of electricity from renewable sources, seasonal fruit and vegetable production with biological methodology, homebrewed beer and divulging activities through courses and seminars held by us or by renting part of the property to a third party. The food and homebrewed beer will be sold both in the accommodation of the farm, both on-site in a small store, either via web. The reference market with regard to the sale of electricity is that public-state and self use; concerning selling of agricultural products is local within 30-50 km from the property (company store), as tourism is  most of all international (renting rooms with breakfast all seasons except for january and february), pilgrims walking or cycling on the “Santiago route” and the WEB. What We Need & What You Get   The total investment for the purchasing and improving of the entire project will be approximately € 580.000 which will be fully committed in the first two years and with break-heaven-point in about 10-15 years. Use of Funds: Property purchaising: 450.000 € (we will have a mortgage for it) Biomass plant: 80.500 € Furnishing and equipments: 54.500 € Starting and other expenses: 62.000 € We need to raise € 200000 but if we won't raise that funds we mostly look for buying gasification plants and look for other european and regional funds for equipments. The Impact Our project is focused on energy savings and self production to reach a zero balance beetwen production and consuption to have a full green building and a confortable stay for our customers amd for us that want to obtain a more natural life style. WE WILL KEEP FROM NATURE ONLY WHAT NATURE GIVES US AND WHAT WE NEED!!!!! Risks & Challenges We have built this projects on bad scenario with few work but ensuring zero cost for energy, we are sure that a right marketing plan, using social network web chances and being supported by consulotant on it will be our risk minimisation: we will be at the top on it because it'l be our LIFE PROJECT!!!   Other Ways You Can Help Anyone can help us on this project even with few money and with services, like marketing and any supply you mean to be usefull for us (agricultural equipments, furnishing, also top food from the world, etc.)
