carrie is 20 years old. He was born with dysgenesis corpus callosum and other brain abnormalities, and has intellectual and developmental disabilities.

He has the opportunity to be trained and given an internship through the program at the wonderful program at Sunflower Bakery which you can read about here . However, he is scheduled to start there on Wednesday, January 4th, and we have two weeks to secure funding for his tuition because since he doesn't have SSI yet the county department which would normally help with this sort of expense can't provide it for him. We will have to provide $4800; $2800 of it due January 1, 2017 and the balance by January 30th.

Those who know our family know we have had extreme medical expenses the last few years, as well as paying college tuition for several of Feivel's siblings and having other expenses. We just have no way of coming up with this kind of money so quickly ourselves.

This is Feivel's dream opportunity, he's always dreamed of being a chef (or a rock star, but there's no training program here for that). He will be devastated if we have to tell him he'll have to wait until summer or fall to enter the program. He doesn't understand money or financial exchanges well, and doesn't know anything about the cost of this opportunity.
