I practice foil and this year also sabre. I'm 13th years old and my dream is to win the Italian Championship (maybe in both weapons) that would mean to reach a very important goal at this stage. I know I can do it !

Pratico fioretto e da quest'anno anche sciabola. Ho 13 anni e il mio sogno è vincere i campionati italiani (possibilmente nelle due armi) che significherebbe raggiungere un traguardo molto importante a questo livello. So che ce la posso fare!

As you already maybe know, Italy is one of the best fencing country in the world with more than 122 Olympic medals, and competitions are very hard since young categories. Even if I can't train hard at the moment because of some problems to join my coaches in Pisa (I'm waiting to move over there but right now it takes three hours to get there from where I live) I'm always in the top 16 in the national competitions for italian ranking and always on the podium in the others.

Come molti di voi sapranno, l'Italia è una delle nazioni migliori al mondo nella scherma con più di 122 medaglie olimpiche e le competizioni sono molto combattute già nelle categorie dei più giovani. Anche se al momento non posso allenarmi al meglio a causa di alcuni problemi per raggiungere i miei Maestri a Pisa (sto aspettando di trasferirmi là ma al momento mi ci voglioni tre ore di auto da dove abito) sono sempre nelle prime 16 nelle competizioni nazionali e sul podio nelle altre. 

I really want to win the Italian Championship but I need to improve my training and be able to join my coaches in Pisa and go to all the competition around Italy in the next three months. But my mom has had problems with her job and she can't affort by herself all the expenses for fuel, hotels and the fencing materials I need.

Io voglio veramente vincere il campionato italiano ma ho bisogno di incrementare il mio allenamento andando più spesso a Pisa dai miei maestri e partecipando a tutte le gare in giro per l'Italia nei prossimi tre mesi. Ma mia mamma ha avuto dei problemi con il lavoro e non può sostenere tutte quelle spese per benzina, alberghi e materiale di scherma di cui necessito.

The competition I'm going to fence in the nexts months will be pretty far from home, at least 400 to 600 km, and to be able to fence those twice a month it would cost at least $ 700 (a month).

Le gare che dovrò fare nei prossimi mesi sono piuttosto lontane da casa mia, come minimo 400-600 km e per poter partecipare almeno a due gare ogni mese il costo è di circa $ 700 (al mese).

Even when I train at the local facilities it's still very expensive since it's located 60 km from my home and going back and forth 3/4 times a week is a big expence in fuel. Also I broke a foil and need to replace it ($ 120) and I need to get my own sabre equipment which I'm currently borrowing from someone and that's pretty expensive, almost $ 700.

Anche per allenarmi in loco è piuttosto costoso poichè sono circa 60 km tra andata e ritorno 3/4 volte a settimana. Ho anche rotto un fioretto che devo rimpiazzare ($120) e ho bisogno dell'equipaggiamento di sciabola che al momento mi viene imprestato, circa $ 700.
