Carl Davenport Legal Defense Fund

Greetings Brethren,

This is a fundraiser to help cover the legal fees for Carl Davenport's legal defense.As you may be aware, Carl is facing a frivolous lawsuit which was filed by Andy Reynolds who is seeking $75,000 in damages for allegedly violating the trademark of the Widows Sons logo to which I own the copyright, and has been used for many years by the Widows Sons Association, which brother Davenport founded.I am assisting in Carl's defense. I have never surrendered my copyright or ownership of the logo to Mr. Reynolds, the Kings Guard Chapter of New York, or any chapters or persons affiliated with Mr. Reynolds or the Kings Guard Chapter of New York.I have read the complaint and accompanying exhibits filed by Andy Reynolds' attorneys and do not believe that any of the documentation filed shows that I surrendered my rights. Carl has retained the services of Stoyanov Law P.L.L.C, located at 737 Third Avenue, 20th Fl., New York, NY 10017. (www.Stoyanovlaw.com).

In order to engage in full transparency and to avoid any appearance of impropriety, neither Carl Davenport nor myself will be involved with the transfer of donations received between this fundraiser and Carl's attorney. Brother Dennis Kaktusz who currently resides in California has graciously volunteered to receive the donations and wire transfer the funds to Carl Davenport's attorney on Carl's behalf. A full accounting and receipts will be kept and made available upon request to anyone who has made a donation.

It is unfortunate that Brother Carl has been subjected to this frivolous and fraudulent lawsuit but he requires our support as he is financially unable to afford the legal fees. I therefore ask that our brethren come to the aid in support of a distressed Brother Master Mason by donating whatever support you can afford.

If we obtain any money from the lawsuit, we will use them to refund your donations.Also, upon the lawsuit’s completion, we will refund any donation money that is not used for the lawsuit.

We will be preparing a website where we will post all important documents that are filed in the case, and keep you up to date on important developments.But, because of the nature of litigation, in order not to compromise the attorney-client privilege, we cannot publicly provide all documents and information concerning the case.If you would like additional information please contact us directly.
