Carl 2 year old has eye Cancer

I’m Michelle Troskie I’m writing this letter as per my Fiance brother and them are really struggling at the moment, with their 2 year old son has eye cancer and lost his eye due to this.

Last year they took their 2 year old son to the eye Dr as per they notice something is wrong with his eye, the referred them to an eye specialist, in January they saw the first specialist which then referred them to another specialist in Pretoria, they did all kinds of test, they established there is a tumor growing in his right eye, they went for CT scans to see how big this growth is, on the 3^rd of April 2019 their whole life changed as per they thought the Dr is only going to cut out the tumor and the put the eye back, just before the big operation the Dr informed them that they are removing the whole eye as per the tumor has gotten bigger in the last 2 weeks and they are scared its cancer and once it grows out the eye it will go to his brain, they removed the whole eye that day and sent it away to be tested to see if it cancer or not.

On 12^th of April they saw the doctor again and he informed them that the tumor is cancer and that Carl will have to go for Chemo 6 rounds of chemo, there is still 4 mm of cancer left as per what the Dr did not remove, on 23^rd of April he went for his 1^st chemo session which took the whole day they were there from 07:00 am until 22:00 pm once bag of chemo take 4-6 hours and he got 2 bags of chemo.

After the chemo they will have to go to Cape town for Lazer treatment they have a very long road ahead for them,

The reason I’m writing this letter is because financially they cannot cover all the cost of this, they are in the process to make an Artificial eye for Carl so he can be as normal as possible, the lady called them to make the appointment to start with his eye said that the eye is going to cost +- R 23 000.00 which their medical aid will only pay an amount of R 4 500.00 per family per 3 year cycle, they do not have the money to pay the outstanding amount for this eye,

My heart is hurting so much for them as per Carl is so young and does not understand all this that is happening to him, and financially his parents cannot afford this, donation towards Carl’s new artificial eye this family will really appreciated it as per he needs this eye to be an normal 2 year old.

We all will really appreciate it if you can help this family to make this boy’s life as normal as can be.
