Career in Medicine Youth Program Fund

As a high schooler now, I am finally able to slwoly begin reaching a goal of a career in medicine. Most children go back and forth every day wondering what they wanted to be when they grew up, but not me. Ever since I was 5 years old, I had my mind set on a job in medicine, whether it be a doctor or a pharmacist. I dedicate my education into making sure I stayed in the top of my class; I have always had a 4.0 GPA, I am enrolled in math courses two years above my grade level, and was in an academically gifted student program at my school for all eight years it was given. This year, I was nominated for a program called " The Envision Experience". In July, I will be traveling to North Carolina in order to spend a week learning everything I can about medicine. While most kids plan on being at the beach and relaxing, I want to expand my horizon and put myslef out there. As a first generation American, having parents from another continent can be tricky when planning a future for yourself. Though they try and set a foundation for me, every little program and experience can greatly boost my chances. Being able to go to this program will not only leave me with an experience of a life-time, but it can help put me ahead. In this day and age, many of us intelligent kids can be overlooked and passed by just because someone had better opportunities. This is an opportunity that I feel would benefit me in an infinitie amount of ways, and every small donation to helping me get there will be overwhelmingly appreciated.
