Benji was abandoned in the desert in pain and anemic

CARE rescued little Benji from desert he was dumped there by a heartless human, unfortunately that is where most of CARE's rescues come from. This poor boy is only 6 pounds, he should by 10-12 pounds. Benji has been at CARE's vet (All Pets Medical Centre) for almost 2 weeks now, he was very anemic and had/has a very painful back. He could hardly get around and is too weak for any surgery on his back (if needed, not sure yet), will take a long time to get better. The vet just started him on a new pain medication that is helping but he will take weeks to recover and the new medicine is expensive. He is slowly improving but will also need his blood monitored every day and a lot of extra love and one-on-one attention. We are not sure how much the final bill will be, so far it is close to $2,000. We are hoping animal lovers will help us with his vet bill, any help is greatly appreciated. No amount is too small!
