Car-Sharing Pilot Operation in the Philippines using Electric Vehicles

In this era of worsening urban traffic congestion and environmental problems, there is a growing demand for green/sustainable transport. We aim to start a pilot operation of car-sharing service using electric cars in Metro Manila with the goal of reducing air pollution and traffic congestion. Your contributions will allow us to build between 20 to 25 electric cars. Each electric car is estimated to cost between USD8,500 to USD9,000 to produce. The rest of the funds will be used for the operations of the car-sharing service and developing the car-sharing stations. The car-sharing stations will also be equipped with solar power chargers to make the operations truly green and sustainable.

This pilot operation would allow us to gain a deeper understanding on the dynamics involved in running a successful car-sharing ecosystem in urban centers. After one year, its performance will be evaluated and will either be expanded or discontinued depending on the effectiveness of the program.
