My daughter Maddison needs a new/used car desperately! We live in Southern California so a car is not an option it is an absolute necessity! The car she has is fifteen years old and is falling apart left and right. It needs repairs that will cost more than her car is worth and now its not going to pass smog for registration. She will be forced to retire it and has no other car. I am a self employed single parent and provided for the two of us 100% emotionally, physically and financially for 19yrs. When the economy tanked I lost 2/3 of my business and income. We were forced to short sell our home and file bankruptcy, we lost our home and my credit was destroyed. Because of this I cannot co-sign for an auto loan for her and because of her age and lack of credit history she cannot qualify by herself. We have no other family who can help us. Hard Working and Determined She is very hard working and determined to make a better life for herself. She works three jobs and is enrolled full time in junior college working towards her pre-reqs for a degree in Human Resources. The commute to college is 30ml. round trip and to her jobs an average of 40ml a day. Now that gas is over $4.00 a gal. the majority of her income goes towards gas. She has a heart of gold and she is the kind of person that is the first to offer help to those in need. She has volunteered to help the elderly in convalescent homes... even shares what little money she has when she can with the homeless. She was diagnosed with Ulcerative Colitis four years ago...75% of her digestive tract ulcerated. This has created tremendous health challenges for her to over come and yet she took it upon herself to find employment, enrolled in college, meet with college career councilors and obtained financial aid while maintaining three jobs all on her own! I am so very proud of her strength and determination and feel terrible that I cannot help her myself. Anything you can contribute will be a major help and you will be contributing to the success of a wonderful addition to our society and one of our future leaders!
