Car accident loss

Hey everyone! My name is harry and I am from Malaysia. Holding a working holiday visa in New Zealand. Currently I am working in New Zealand. Here is my true story.

Last month I have spent NZD2,200 to buy an old car even though i have NZD2500 in my bank account only. I came Auckland looking for a job and most of the job need transport(car) which far away from my place (that's why I need a car). The money i have left is not really enough for me to buy a car insurance in that time so I have decided to purchase the car insurance after I get the salary.

Unfortunately, I had the car accident in a T- junction with a big truck which hit from my right direction in the third day of work. It was a foggy and cold morning, the visible from the car was not very clear and I didnt managed to stop in the T- junction and the truck hit me. I almost die in the car accident if I didnt turn my car that time.

My right side passenger car door totally damaged and the truck bumper was damaged. Sadly, I did not managed to buy the car insurance before this so I need to pay the repair fees for the truck driver. Truck was sent to the insurance panel shop repair and which cost me around NZD 12,000. As a graduated student from a low income family, this amount of money is totally cant afford and I have nothing much left in my bank account. Im getting min wage salary in my glasshouse and the work is not stable due to winter season. My working hour is only 4 to 5 hours per day so the salary I get cant even cover the insurance claim.

Besides that, the towing company sent my car for auction and I can get back NZD70 after deducted towing fee and some service charge which is unreasonable but I cant do anything with it. Im feeling hopeless and depressed because I need to pay such a big amount money and I have owe my house owner 4 weeks rental fee.
