"Once you choose hope, anything is possible." CR
Amanda loves dancing, travelling and everything that a young girl loves. She is hard-working, intelligent, caring and very thoughtful. She is very close to her friends and family and has a lot of people who care about her.
One of Amanda’s best traits is that she lives her life to the fullest and loves to laugh and smile. Whenever someone is feeling down and needs a friend to lean on, she is there. Being sisters we have been through a lot over the years, but no matter where life takes us we knew we could count on one another.
It isn’t possible to put into words the importance of friendship and how much Amanda means to us. She positively influences many lives in so many ways and we want her to win her fight against this cancer.
Amanda Captain was diagnosed with cancer when she was 26 and has been battling cancer for well over two years now. It is Hodgkins Lymphoma and started in her neck. Her first round of treatment was a few months of chemotherapy, but the cancer did not stay in remission and spread. Amanda has endured numerous surgeries, biopsies, three different form of chemotherapy & radition. She recently underwent a stem cell transplant, and unfortunately it didn't take. She will have to have a donor transplant in the near future.
We all know that insurance can only cover so much, you can all imagine the kind of financial toll this can take on Amanda and her family. Ultimately this presents major hurdles to her overall well-being and recuperation. As friends and sisters of Amanda, we are asking you to donate what you can spare. Every donation counts, as every penny will go in to a savings fund that will be there to help Amanda battle her disease. We also encourage you to share this fundraising initiative on social media websites. You can find our Facebook page here.
Many fundraising efforts have no clear way of telling you where your money is going. With Captain's Cure for Cancer, 100% of funds will be placed in a savings account towards Captain’s treatment. Even if you cannot donate, please help by spreading the word.
Together we can provide comfort for Amanda in this trying time. Please consider a donation for our beloved friend and sister Amanda Captain. Anything is appreciated in helping us reach our goal of $5,000 and help her fight against this disease.
This amazing support system will help give Amanda and her family the strength to deal with the emotional and financial challenges ahead. Once again, thank you all for your support and please keep Amanda and her family in your thoughts and prayers.
