CapeRecovery – Sponsor a Cape Town Addict, giving them a chance of a new life!

Addiction is a killer and it is destroying communities across the world. I am an alcoholic and addict in recovery and found release from a 25 year alcohol and drug addiction here in Cape Town, South Africa. I started CapeRecovery three years ago, shortly after getting sober for the last time and the three years has been an incredible journey. We have grown into an organisation that is there to help everyone who calls but resources are tight as the extent of the problem is huge. We get calls everyday from people who are desperate and have no way of funding treatment and government support is lacking and usually simply not available.

Our aim here is to select a small group of people who are locked in this crippling illness and have no escape, we will select the individuals based mostly on their desire to change their lives for the better as the desire is the most important factor in overcoming addiction. From this point and with your help, we will get them into the best quality addiction treatment centre here in Cape Town at a price already subsidized by us and the centre itself so that they get this life changing opportunity. We will then provide the appropriate follow up and set them up in voluntary projects so they can pass on the good done for them. We are very passionate about this and will put a page on the website for each person who we get through this process and show you all how they have benefitted from your kind gifts. I'm excited that with your help we can really make a difference to people's lives and in doing so help them to help others in their communities, these things escalate and helping one can in turn help many others and so on so help us to do this
