Hi, I'm fundraising for my cat Candice. I'm having trouble paying for vet bills. Candice needs xrays and surgery. I can't afford it. I spent to much money on vet bills these last two years I cannot afford anymore. My first cat was already ninteen. Her name was Minnie. She seemed lonely so I went looking for a friend for her. That is when I found my first male cat. Boots. Then my second female cat Candice. It was pricey adopting two cats from the humane society at ninety each. But I love animals and I wanted my cat at home to have friends. Minnie never got along with my dog so I was hoping the kittens would help. Three days home with my kittens I took them to there free vet visit. Boots had ear mites but was treated for free since it was within the seven day period. Boots loved Minnie. He would follow her everywhere. At first Minnie hated it but overtime she didn't mind. When Minnie turned twenty her health was decreasing. She couldn't eat. I tried giving her different food but she could barely eat. Four months later she couldn't keep anything down. I took her to the vet and they said there wasn't much they could do for a cat her age. And told me the best thing for her was to put her down. My family members agreed. It cost $165.00 dollars to put her down. I was devastated. My dog Angel was also not in the best of health. When I first got her I was told she would be about 40-50 pound dog. But over time she was over 100 pounds. I took her to the vet for check ups and the vet said her ideal weight was around 70-75 pounds. So with the help of my new kittens we would exercise Angel. In just a year got her weight down to 79 pounds. Then I noticed a problem. She had a bump on her hip. It was a little smaller then a golf ball but she had cut it and it was bleeding. She cut it on saturday night. I called around but the vets said unless it was bleeding heavy to make an appointment for monday. Which I did. I gently cleaned the wound the way the vet said and wrapped it in a clean towel to prevent her from rubbing it. The vet bill was almost $300.00 dollars. I gave her the antibotics daily. Three months later she reopened the wound. And in just a few days it tripled in size. I brought her to a new vet after finding out my usual vet was over charging for everything. Unless I could afford surgery it was best to put her down. And finding more bumps but smaller indicated she most likely had cancer. She was an old dog. Ten. I was told her life expectancy was 8-15 years when I first got her. I had to put her down. Which cost just under $130.00 dollars. Depressed that once again I had to put down a beloved put. My kittens now a year old stayed on my lap. Which was something they didn't do before. During the time Angel was sick I noticed that Candice my kitten was also sick. I had to take both her and Boots to the vet since they both were ill. I was given medicine to help them. Another $190.00 gone.(I wished I knew at the time that vet was overcharging but I didn't until I brought Angel to the vet that had to put her down.) Boots got better. Candice didn't. I took her again to the vet.(Still the expensive one since I still didn't know they overcharge.) $45.00 visit. I told them something is wrong. That her nose even looks funny. They said its nothing but a cold and charged me for more medicine. $80.00. Months later and Candice still can't breath right. She almost always has to breath through her mouth. It makes it hard for her to do anything. Playing fetch. (Yeah she loves playing fetch.) Even simple things like eating and drinking. She has to hold her breath just to eat or drink since she has to breath through her mouth. I had another kitten I had gotten at the vet.(Note she was a gift from a family member since I had to put down my dog.) I brought her(Snow) to the vet for her shots.(Which was free since she was adopted from there). I told the vet about Candice while she did the shots. She ask to see her. Candice was in the car waiting.(I had just went to the pet store and Candice loves going out.) (Please note I don't leave her in a car during hot days, she was only in the car since I took her in the pet store and I knew if the vet took to long I'd just go out and bring her in) I bring her in and the vet right away notices something wrong with Candices nose. She did some kind of test which unlike my other vet she told me the price before doing it. $79.00. But she didn't charge me the pet exam. Which was nice. Now I'm told that Candice needs xrays, a blood test and a surgery. I won't know what the surgery is until they do they xrays which will tell them. I don't have anymore money I can spend. I want Candice to be able to breath through her nose. I don't want her having to breath out her mouth for the rest of her life. I have noone who can or will help me with payments. So please. For Candice help me pay for her bills and see what is wrong with her. Once I get just enough for the xrays (60.00) I'll post what the surgery is and how much help I need. Thank you for reading and hopefully donating to a wonderful, loving cat.
