Dear friends,

It was just last year when we heard the great the news that my sister has survived her 10-year battle against breast cancer. My Ate Sharon went through rounds of chemo sessions, blood extractions, and medical tests that made her very weak, yet in spite of her condition she remained positive and never did she felt discouraged. She remained strong, laughed and smiled, although we all know that she was in so much pain, specially after the operation and the chemo sessions. So for all of us, the news from her doctors that she no longer has breast cancer made our family very happy. We all celebrated the great news.

However, just last month, her doctors found new cancer cells growing near her liver. And she was told that she'll need to go through another round of chemo sessions, tests, and more blood extractions. I know that my sister is strong, but this news made her (and us) cry. I know that my sister need us to be strong for her. But the suddenness of the situation, did not just caught us by surprise, but we were also unprepared. Still just like last year, we started pooling our resources to help raise the fund for my Ate's medical treatment.

To be honest, none of us are prepared financially to handle the associated medical expenses to facilitate my sister's treatment. We were informed that the first out of six chemo session was scheduled end of October this year.

Based on the initial estimates, my family need to immediately raise at least 210,000php to shoulder the cost of chemo sessions, medications and other medical related expenses, and honestly we are at a loss how we can raise the amount in such a short time.

And so my family and I are knocking on your generous hearts to please help my sister during this trying moments. Help us also pray for the success of her treatment with zero complications, and her speedy recovery.

May GOD bless you and your family all the time!
