At 18 years old, Camille developed arthritis due to genetics. She had to take steroids for the inflammation of her joints because she did not respond well to the usual pain medications. Since she needed to take an increased dosage of steroids throughout the last 10 years, it has caused her hip joints to become brittle, producing Avascular Necrosis (death of bone tissue), causing her more pain as she navigates her everyday life. In the last few years it has become difficult for her to walk with ease, go to work and do her daily routine.
At present, through doctor’s orders, she will need to undergo double hip replacement to replace her brittle hip joints to lessen her pain and improve her quality of life.
Medical costs for her surgery, medicine, and rehabilitation are more than we can afford. We are asking for your help to be able to sustain her daily medical needs, so that she can live her best life possible. Your help, no matter how big or small, will go a long way.
