Campaña para Cello

My name is Marvis Salazar, I'm 20 years old and I am a native of the Dominican Republic.

In 2016 I had the great motivation to learn an instrument and it was at that time that I took the opportunity to take classes at Casa de Arte de Sosúa, (a non-profit foundation that teaches ropes and artistic disciplines).

Currently I play in the string orchestra, I am also part of a trio of strings and we dedicate ourselves to give concerts in churches, schools, nursing homes, orphanages for disabled children and communities of limited resources where they don't have the possibility to appreciate the music performed with strings, making the music reach them.

• Both these activities and my commitment to music have allowed me to grow to the point of needing a better instrument with which to continue developing and thus make reality my dream of being able to touch the hearts of many with my cello, however, I don't have the resources needed to buy it, so I decided to create this campaign to reach those people who can contribute a grain of sand and thus make this dream come true. I count on you!

Mi nombre es Marvis Salazar, tengo 20 años de edad y soy nativa de la República Dominicana.

En el 2016 tuve la gran motivación de aprender un instrumento y fue en ese tiempo cuando aproveché la oportunidad de tomar clases en Casa de Arte de Sosúa, (una fundación sin fines de lucro que imparte clases de cuerdas y disciplinas artísticas).

Actualmente toco en la orquesta de cuerdas, además formo parte de un trío de cuerdas y nos dedicamos a dar conciertos en iglesias, escuelas, asilos de ancianos, orfanatos de niños discapacitados y comunidades de recursos donde no tienen la posibilidad de apreciar la música interpretada con Cuerdas, haciendo que la música llegue a ellos.

Tanto estas actividades como mi compromiso con la música me han permitido crecer hasta el punto de necesitar un mejor instrumento con el cual seguir desarrollándome y así hacer realidad mi sueño de poder tocar el corazón de muchos con mi violonchelo, sin embargo, no cuento con los recursos necesarios para la compra del mismo, por lo que decidí crear esta campaña para poder llegar a personas que puedan aportar un granito de arena y así poder hacer este sueño realidad. ¡Cuento contigo!
