Camino De Santiago June

The Camino de Santiago is a network of pilgrims' ways or pilgrimages leading to the shrine of the apostle Saint James the Great in the cathedral of Santiago de Compostela in Galicia in northwestern Spain, where tradition has it that the remains of the saint are buried. Many follow its routes as a form of spiritual path or retreat for their spiritual growth. It is also popular with hiking and cycling enthusiasts.

I plan to do the traditional route, Camino de Frances from Sarria. The walk itself would take 5 days - almost 115 km from Sarria to Santiago. This will be a solo trip.

On the path, I would be staying at Municipal albergues. My daily expenses would be 25-30 euros.

70 percent of the fund raised would go to Give India foundation's 'Help a student become a graduate' program. Girl child education in India is a cause that I firmly stand behind since I myself was a beneficiary of the program in my formative years.
