Dear Team Camille,
First of all, thank you all for being such important people in my life. As you know I graduated from the University of Texas in May of 2020 and currently in a transition year as I wait to hear from medical schools for fall 2021. I am very excited to be able to share with you that I have been accepted to the International Volunteer Headquarters program in Livingstone, Zambia for 6 weeks. I will use my knowledge and skills of emergency medicine to assist local clinics to provide quality healthcare and help support the growing need for medical staff. I leave April 2nd, 2021 and return May 15th. I am so excited to aid these clinics in a small but crucial way, and look forward to sharing all my experiences with you when I return!
To say that I am excited about this opportunity isn’t enough. But I need your help. I would first like to ask for your prayers for safety as I travel during the pandemic to take care of a population that needs attention and help during this extremely difficult time. Second, if you feel called to support me on this journey, please consider donating to my webpage to make this goal a reality. The trip in total costs $3,750 for flights, food, housing, transportation in Zambia, and medical supplies. Any amount you can contribute would be greatly appreciated and will enable me to participate in this life-changing opportunity.
Thank you so much for your ongoing support throughout my life, I would not be the person I am today without people like you cheering me on each step of the way.
