My group helps small-scale mining companies develop their projects in West Africa. We are working with a small, community-based artisanal gold mining project in Cameroon who are running short of funds to make their first shipment of gold. This shipment will gain the funds needed to increase mining production by bringing in better equipment and technology. This will make the artisanal mining project safer and more environmentally sound in the longer term, gaining advantage for the struggling community and ensuring the community will not have to sell their land to a large conglomerate.
What We Need & What You Get
- The current project in Cameroon requires funds to get their product to market. A further $10,000 is needed for the documentation and airfare for the first shipment.
- If the full amount is raised, the shipment can be sent to the international buyer for a fast turn around in payment.
- Contributors will gain a return of 1.5x the value of your contribution
Your contribution will be an investment in a third world country, helping to develop a sustainable mining project and contributing to the well-being of villages in the Bertoua Region, Cameroon.
Many large mining companies operate in the region but there is very low employment and high poverty, and much of the benefit of the mining leaves the country. There are even many illegal Chinese miners stealing gold from villages who have mined in the region since King Solomon’s time.
The gold has been produced and is awaiting final certification and delivery, as well as the costs of export tax.
The High Court of Cameroon declares the gold free from criminal and terrorist activity. All necessary mining and export licenses can be provided.
