Cambodian School Project

Hi and thank you for taking the time to read about our project to build a school in the Oddar Meanchey Province of Cambodia.

My self and a very long time Cambodian friend are trying to raise funds to help build a school for the local villages in the area who do not have a school at present for their children to attend.

A person in Cambodia has kindly donated some land so we can plan and build a school for them. It is a remote area and the families there don’t have access to what we all take for granted, like clean water, electric or even a waterproof place to live under.

And on a previous trip that was funded by myself and a friends help I have been there and seen for myself the conditions and spoke to the Families there who's overriding dream was for their children to have a better future.

So I am trying with kind people's help to go back there and make a start to give the families there dream. So far we have the land and an official license and community leader’s permission and help to start this big challenge, and so we have started the New Faces Foundation Project.

Our first goal

Our first goal is for myself to get back there and meet more of the families there and get a better idea of how many we can help, and also the planning and getting the area cleared so we can move forward with our goal of a school for them. I will be updating a website that will be made so everyone can see what we are doing and our progress with photos and videos. I shall update this site with details once that is in place soon.

What will this money be used for?

A flight back to Cambodia and to be able to stay there to plan and start project.

And also if funds allow take some rice to some of the villages we will me meeting there. No raised money will be wasted in anyway. I realise this is a big ask of people to help me raise funds to do this, but it is worthwhile and you have no idea the smiles this will bring, but we shall show you of course.

To give something back to all who help us, we shall be planting a small tree or flower with the name of everyone who donates and once the school is made, each name will also be put on a plaque there for all time. (Unless you would rather remain anonymous) Once again I thank you for reading and any help you can give, every single dollar will help.
