Campaign Story
Our journey in the 2016-17 season is not over yet – because the Aberdeen Angels Ladies Rugby are off to a rugby tour in PHNOM PENH, CAMBODIA! But, we need your help if we hope to get there.
Our team of over 25 Hong Kong-based ladies are looking for your help and financial contributions to support bringing the Ladies Rugby team to Cambodia. Here’s what your financial contribution will go to:
- Donating used rugby balls to Rugby Wallet which through the upcycling of balls to wallets enables local Cambodian players to play rugby through profits made in sales.
- Supporting our players as they use time to coach youth rugby which statistics show are more likely to cultivate individual skills of physical health, self-esteem, and academic success.
- Sponsoring the Ladies' ability to do charity work and make a difference during their brief time on tour in Cambodia in a third-world country.
- And, last but not least, contributing to the ongoing growth and development of women’s rugby in southeast Asia as we compete against and play with a local team in Phnom Penh, Cambodia.
