Campaign Story
Darat is a boy living in Cambodia who I have been sponsoring for five years now since I was 13. He is now 11 years old. I would like to travel to Cambodia and find out what his community is in need of - mainly their school environment and education.
Cambodia is very rural, and many places still lack proper primary and secondary schools. The construction of a school is only $13,000, but for now I want to travel there and meet my sponsored child and find out what his community needs and what exactly I can do to provide it.
I want to take two videographers with me on this journey to document Darat's daily life. This footage will then be used to promote fundraising when I return home. I've been working as much as I can and trying to save up for this trip, but being a student it's a little tricky! It will cost about $3,000. Any donations would be greatly appreciated.
